This guide will help you quickly set up and configure your Tech Radar for Compass. We'll walk through the essential steps to get your radar up and running.

Configure Tech Radar

Quick Start

Access the Admin Interface

  1. Navigate to Apps > Manage your apps in Compass
  2. Find Tech Radar for Compass
  3. Click "Configure" to open the admin interface

Initial Setup

The radar comes with sensible defaults, but you should customize these basic settings:

  1. Radar Title: Set your radar's name
  2. Version: Set the current version (e.g., "2024.1")
  3. Logo: Add your organization's logo (optional)

Start with the default configuration and customize gradually as you become familiar with the radar.

Review Default Categories

The radar comes with four default quadrants:

  1. Languages & Frameworks
  2. Tools
  3. Platforms & Operations
  4. Methods & Patterns

And four default rings:

  1. Adopt (innermost)
  2. Trial
  3. Assess
  4. Hold (outermost)
